Ministering to the University Community

The mission of St. John University Parish is to be the living presence of Christ at West Virginia University and the greater Morgantown area. With reliance on God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, guided by Catholic tradition, and centered around the Eucharist, we strive to form a community of faith and service that responds to the call to holiness, faith formation, and evangelization.

Mass Schedule

  • Monday & Tuesday:
    • 5:00 pm in the Church
  • Wednesday:
    • 5:00 pm
  • Thursday & Friday:
    • 5:00 pm in the Church
  • Confession time: 4 - 5 PM Monday through Saturday
  • Saturday:
    • 5:00 pm for Sunday obligation
  • Sunday:
    • 8:30am, 10:00am
    • 6:30 pm
      Student Mass Sunday at 9:00pm (When WVU is in session)

Sunday, October 11

No 9:00 pm Mass and no CRE classes due to the university Fall break.

Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, October 11 in the Parish Center 9:30 am-noon. Donations will support the parish ministry to the poor.

Theology on Tap

Saturday, October 17 7-9:00 pm at Black Bear Burritos, Suncrest. Adam Blai will be the guest speaker. Topic: Demonology and Exorcism.

Clothing Drive

Oct 11 - Nov 1st. Needed: Gloves, hats and scarves. Donation bins are located in the church.
